A Timeless Legacy. The lasting impact that Ken Hansen left on the photography industry began in 1961, when he emigrated from Germany to New York City. After decades of dedication to the photography business, Hansen created the largest Leica dealership in the United States — all without a website or a store. His clients and employees regarded him as one of the most trustworthy people in the business, and his success was unmatched.

Ken Hansen was deeply committed to his family and made sure they were involved in the business. Following his passing in 2019, his daughter Claudia and son-in-law Vico have carried on his journey by taking over the Leica store in New York. Vico’s dedication to the family business has continued the massive success of Ken Hansen’s Leica legacy.
